Naturally, Grandma has been up since dawn, and the aroma of a special breakfast drifts up from the kitchen, silently calling to you, urging you out of bed and down the stairs. These are the memories that make MY GRANDMA'S COFFEECAKE so extra special. Made just like Grandma did so long ago, with love mixed into all of those farm fresh ingredients. The perfect way to say "good morning" or to dress up the end of a great meal, MY GRANDMA'S COFFEECAKE sends the message that those to which you serve it, or give it, are close to your heart. My Grandma's of New England® started an industry in 1990 with their original Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake - and with good reason. These decadent, dinner-worthy cakes are made from the finest and freshest ingredients available. The moistness and flavor of the cake are unmatched. All coffee cakes are handmade and certified Kosher under Orthodox supervision. My Grandma's of New England is certified Kosher by OK Kosher Certification.
My Grandma's of New England® coffee cakes do not contain any artificial flavoring, artificial coloring, trans fats, or preservatives...!
And there really was a Grandma...! My Grandma's Of New England® started baking coffee cakes in a modest 250 square foot bakery in a remote section of Newton, Massachusetts. Baking her famous Cinnamon Walnut coffee cake, business grew steadily by word of mouth. Soon, customers were driving from locations as far away as one hour to buy one of her cakes that were still warm from the oven. Completely selling out was a daily occurrence. Around major holidays, word quickly spread that if you wanted a cake for your family to enjoy, you had to place your order at least one week in advance.
After moving to Dedham, Massachusetts in 1994, they expanded their flavor selection to include the Granny Smith Apple, Golden Raspberry and Cappuccino flavored coffee cakes. Today their line includes the New England Blueberry, Ted Williams Chocolate, Banana Walnut, and Cape Cod Cranberry flavors. Their "lower fat" cakes (available in all flavors but the chocolate) are a popular line for My Grandma's. All cakes may also be special-ordered without walnuts. My Grandma's of New England Coffee Cakes were recently shown on the Food Network's "Roker on the Road" program starring Al Roker. The decadent, dinner-worthy coffee cakes episode, "Fruity Pleasures" spotlighted the following Grandma's fruit flavored coffee cakes: Granny Smith Apple coffee cake, Golden Raspberry coffee cake and New England Cape Cod Cranberry coffee cake.
My Grandma's of New England, makers of the world's most critically acclaimed coffee cake, produces the original sour cream coffee cake. These delicious coffee cakes are served all over the United States and in many parts of the world. The coffee cake is packed in a plastic freezer bag that preserves freshness whether fresh or frozen. Shelf life in the bag is 14 days when unrefrigerated and up to 12 months if frozen. All cakes (except for the Ted Williams All-Star Chocolate) can be ordered in a lower fat version (25% lower in fat and averaging 15% lower in calories.) My Grandma's regular cakes average 100 - 110 calories per ounce. For their lower-fat cakes, they reduce the fat content by substituting non-fat yogurt for sour cream and reducing the quantity of walnuts. All coffee cakes are available with or without nuts.
