OLD BAY® Seasoning EASY Seafood Recipes:
NOTE: Please Follow ALL Safe Food Handling Procedures.
***OLD BAY FRIED CHICKEN:
2 1/2 to 3 pounds chickens parts
1 cup flour
1/4 cup OLD BAY SEASONING
2 cups cooking oil
2 tablespoons water
1 egg, beaten
Wash chicken and pat dry. Mix flour and OLD BAY SEASONING in plastic bag. Heat cooking oil in large skillet. Combine egg and water in mixing bowl. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then shake in flour mixture (a few pieces at a time). Fry over medium heat until golden brown, about 20 minutes per side.
* For more flavor, use OLD BAY SEASONING to sprinkle over finished chicken.
***OLD BAY STEAMED CRABS:
For each dozen crabs, take water and vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons OLD BAY SEASONING
3 tablespoons salt
Pot should have raised rack, minimum 2" high. Add equal quantities water and vinegar to just below level of rack. Layer crabs; sprinkle each layer with mixture of OLD BAY SEASONING and salt. Cover and steam until crabs are red.
***OLD BAY STEAMED SHRIMP:
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon OLD BAY SEASONING
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1 pound shrimp
In saucepan, combine first 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Add shrimp, stir gently. Cover; steam until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain, remove shells and vein on back.
If you like delicious Maryland crab cakes, you will love this classic recipe featuring fresh lump crab meat that is sensationally seasoned with OLD BAY Seasoning. Makes 4 servings.

***OLD BAY CRAB CAKES:
2 slices bread, with the crusts removed or
OLD BAY Crab Cake Classic Seasoning
2 teaspoons parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon favorite brand mayonnaise
1 fresh egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
2 teaspoons OLD BAY SEASONING
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 pound fresh lump crab meat
Dungeness Crab, Stone Crab and Alaska King Crab are great choices.
Break bread into small pieces in large bowl. Mix in mayonnaise, OLD BAY Seasoning,
parsley, mustard and egg.
Stir in crabmeat. Shape mixture into patties.
Broil 10 minutes without turning or fry until golden brown on both sides.
Sprinkle the hot crab cakes with additional OLD BAY Seasoning, if desired.
FAMILY POTATO SALAD:
5 medium garden potatoes, peeled
1-1/2 cups favorite brand mayonnaise
4 tablespoons freshly chopped red or yellow onion
2 tablespoons freshly chopped celery
1 teaspoon OLD BAY SEASONING
2 fresh eggs, hard boiled, coarse chopped
Peel and cut potatoes into chunks and boil in water until tender; drain well. Add mayonnaise, onion, celery, and OLD BAY SEASONING. Mix together and blend well. Fold in chopped eggs. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or more.
ZESTY DIPPING COCKTAIL SAUCE:
1 cup of your favorite brand ketchup
1 Tablespoon OLD BAY SEASONING
1 teaspoon prepared white horseradish
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
Mix together all the ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve with chilled dipping shrimp.
PARTY SHRIMP SALAD:
1 pound fresh shrimp, cooked
1/2 cup favorite brand mayonnaise
1/3 cup freshly chopped celery
2 teaspoons OLD BAY SEASONING
2 teaspoons fresh or bottled lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
Peel and devein shrimp; cut in half. Combine well with remaining ingredients. Chill mixture for 1 hour. Serve on bed of fresh lettuce leaves or party platter with crackers.

Chicken Fricassee, Meat Pie, and Meat Loaf can be perked up considerably by a top crust sprinkled with Old Bay Seasoning.
Potato Cakes or Codfish Balls become a delicious new dish when some Old Bay Seasoning is added.
Tasty Cheese Dip -- Whip together 2 cups Cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce, and 1 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning.
Canned Soups, especially chicken, taste fine when a dash of Old Bay Seasoning is added.
Hot Bread Spread Winner -- Spread 12 slices thin bread with mixture of 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 1/3 cup minced parsley, 1/8 cup minced celery leaves.
1-1/2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning, and 1 tsp. onion powder. Stand up in loaf pan. Bake 10 minutes in hot oven.
Eggs Plus -- Add a pinch of Old Bay Seasoning for each egg when scrambling or making family omelets.
School Lunch Box Helper -- Add a bit of Old Bay Seasoning to tuna, ham, chicken, and egg salad sandwich.
Corn Fritters and Corn Bread will taste better if cooked with a dash of Old Bay Seasoning.
