All that's needed is a sprinkle of good Romano cheese and some warm crusty bread in a seasoned olive oil to complete this simple, yet elegant and nutritious meal. A delicious and simple way to begin a quiet candlelight dinner for two. Contains no gluten, no salt, no sugar and no preservatives. Each Savory Soup Sack comes with easy to follow cooking instructions, nutrition facts and savory soup mix spice pack. Hot Lava Soup Instructions Add the following: 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 1 medium fresh onion, chopped 1 medium fresh tomato, chopped OR one (1) 14 ounce can of Diced or Stewed tomatoes. Remove Savory Spice Pack, and set aside. Check and wash beans thoroughly. Soak overnight in 6 cups cold water ... OR ... boil covered in 6 cups water for 2 minutes, then set aside for 1 hour. DRAIN. Add 6 cups of fresh water, return to boil and simmer the beans 2-1/2 hours or until very tender. Sauté onion in olive oil till tender, add tomato and cook briefly. Add vegetables to beans along with the entire contents of the Savory Spice Pack. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until beans are the desired consistency. The longer they cook, the more the beans will break down and thicken the soup. More water may be added. Adjust seasoning with 2 teaspoons salt or to taste (optional). For a complete meal, serve over rice with a little chopped tomato and onion as a topping. As a soup, garnish with dollop of sour cream or a dash of sherry.
